The 2007 NISMO 350Z in Detail

Nissan Motors has released the latest sports car model that adds up to the Japanese automaker’s extensive lineup of Z models. This time, the new Z model is built by NISMO, the motor sports and performance division of Nissan Motor Company.

The newest addition is the 2007 NISMO 350Z that will roll out in markets starting in July 2007.

The NISMO 350Z features an aggressive front fascia highlighted by the vehicle’s chin spoiler. An extended rear fascia with underbody diffuser and a rear wing provides enhanced cornering and handling performance, as well as completing the overall sporty appearance of the 2007 NISMO 350Z. Other exterior features include additional body welds and front and rear reinforcements, special body dampers mounted in the front radiator core support and rear cargo area, High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-xenon headlights and LED brake lights, distinctive taillights, heated outside mirrors, aluminum hood, distinctive vertical door handles, and NISMO-branded tuned dual exhaust with chrome exhaust tips.

To provide enhanced aerodynamics, Nissan included a raised rear deck and TBD coefficient of drag. Customers can choose between four exterior paint finish for the 2007 NISMO 350Z including Redline Red, Magnetic Black, Silver Alloy, Pikes Peak White. To complete the exterior package, a special NISMO-branded gunmetal gray RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels measuring 18-inch front and 19-inch rear are featured as a standard component. The wheels are wrapped with 245/40WR18 front, 265/35WR19 rear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires.

The interior comes with exclusive styling and materials providing a comfortable driving experience for customers. Interior highlights include specially shaped driver’s seat, unique black cloth sports seats with red inserts, Red stitching throughout the interior, special NISMO white-faced tachometer, serialized NISMO-etched aluminum plaque mounted on the center console, and driver-oriented two-passenger interior environment. Driver/passenger control features and other interior components include 3-bay gauge pods, power windows with auto one-touch up and down, power door locks, 8-way manual driver’s seat/4-way manual passenger’s seat, standard automatic temperature control, lockable rear luggage box behind passenger seat, center console with aluminum trim, aluminum pedals, and HomeLink Universal Transceiver.

The 2007 NISMO 350Z also comes with a bunch of safety and security features, which include Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System, 3-point ALR/ELR seatbelts, front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters, Zone Body construction with front and rear crushable zones,
energy-absorbing steering column, active head restraints, and standard vehicle security system and immobilizer.

Under the hood of the 2007 NISMO 350Z is the next-generation 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 (VQ35HR) engine. It is rated at 306 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 268 lb-ft amount of peak torque at 4800 rpm. Moreover, the engine is equipped with high-quality engine parts like High the eCVTCS (electromagnetic variable exhaust cam timing), twin knock sensors, and improved cooling and stiffer engine block structure. The engine is combined with a 6-speed close-ratio manual gearbox powering the rear wheel drive (RWD) drivetrain configuration. Unlike the VW radiator found on the VW Eos sports coupe, the NISMO 350Z’s radiator core mounts a special body dampers to control body vibrations.
