Target ID legend – used in conjunction with the target ID cursor
Indicate the possible identity of the target.
Target ID cursor (upper scale) – The target ID cursor, together with the target ID legend, indicates the possible identity of the detected target. The upper scale consists of twelve (12) graphic segments for the target ID.
Subscale-The subscale or notch discrimination scale indicates the discrimination mode. TC-500 will produce an audible target response for pixels that are turned on, while pixels that are turned off have no audible response. The target ID cursor will always indicate all targets. The recognition mode can be adjusted by changing the mode and/or using the DISCRIM and accept/reject (√/×) buttons (coin depth indicator-the depth of a coin or similarly sized target indicates the depth of a coin or similar size target in 2 inch increments. Battery level indicator-indicates the current Battery condition.
You can expect 20 to 40 hours of runtime, depending on battery type and quality. Access and replace the battery by sliding the cover off the control housing. When the TC-500 has been stored for more than 30 days, please remove the battery.
